Now and Forever

I am repaying debts,

creating new ones – for

others to repay

Meanwhile there is

a bird spreading its

wings to fold them back

-  again and again,

on its feathers are written

words of wealth, desire,

envy and fear,

its colours shining bright,

people spot it from

a distance

I wait for it

to fly away;

now and then the bird

spreads its enormous

wings fully – so enormous

that its shadow covers

me – it flies,

to return soon

Turning my head

I see old love

standing still – I thought

I had put it away,

I must have kept a

door open; with it

are waiting longing,

heart-burn and

hope, all are together -

they will be: now and forever

Emotions

A mask on the face

- a real mask, easily removable

used as a forced base,

made up of emotions – real and fragile

Emotions - caused by real events

used as a tool to win arguments

make us look naked but smoothly let us out

emotions so deep, they destroy bits of heart

Is it evil to use such emotions

as part of a scheme to score points?

such fights are imaginary but not ego,

ego so powerful, it makes a tiff hard to let go

The ego makes emotions stronger

like an animal, it feeds on feeling

and lets emotions last nearly forever

whereas they were meant to be just fleeting!

Pictures

I spread the pictures
Through them, I spread happiness 
Their happiness; but more
Than theirs, my own!


Its my way of giving
Back to the world that
Has given so much - in form of
Painting, sketching and photography!


Their smiles and gratitude
Their warmth and jokes –
Fills up my heart, satisfies my ego
Rejuvenates my mind and soul
